How to resolve Error 4118 in Rosetta Stone

We get this error 4118 in Rosetta Stone if the language levels are corrupted in the program. We have to go a head and delete a file called products.xml and  move few RSD files from Installed folder to AutoInstall Folder. Please follow the below instructions to resolve it.

If you have McAfee its better to uninstall or turn off the real time scanning.

For Windows Computer  :

• Click on the Start menu and type %programdata% and hit enter.
• A folder will open now you see Rosetta Stone folder so open it.
• You see Language Training folder and in it you see products.xml delete that file. 
• Later open AutoInstall and then Installed folder
• Cut the SK (.RSD ) files and go back to AutoInstall folder and paste it there.
• Minimize the Folder and Launch the Rosetta Stone Program.

Now you will see the language levels getting installed. Later you can start using the program without any issues.

For Mac Computers  :

• Click the Finder icon in your dock, then click Go in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
• Click Computer and Click on Macintosh HD = > Library = > Application Support = > Rosetta Stone = > Language Training
• Now Delete the Products.xml and then open the AutoInstall = > Installed folder
• Move the SK (.RSD ) files to Desktop and go back to AutoInstall folder and Move the SK (.RSD ) files to AutoInstall
• Minimize the Folder and Launch the Rosetta Stone Program

Now you will see the language levels getting installed. Later you can start using the program without any issues
